Procedure
- After changing my design, I tried it out on myself to see what the finished outcome would look like.
- For the base I used the lightest color of foundation from the Krayolin foundation palette.
- I then concealed any blemishes and dark circles under my eyes. I set all this using loose powder.
- For design that goes over my eyebrows and my forehead, I used the gold color from the aqua palette. I applied 3 coats of this. I used less water and more product and found that this covered the eyebrow pretty well and much better than the supra colors.
- Letting this dry I then moved onto the eyes. On one eye I lined the eye using the gold aqua color and also went over the lashes with the same color.
- On the other hand I left the other eye with black liner and and black lashes.I did this to see which one would go better with the whole look. Looking at the golden eye it gives of a more subtle look while, the other gives off a more bold look.
- For the lips I used a deep red color from the lip palette and I applied this using an angled brush.
- For the side that had the gold liner and lashes I used the gold aqua color on the outer corners of the lips.
- On the other side I used black supra color and applied this on the outer corners of the lips as well.
- Looking at the two images the left hand side gives of a more delicate look while the right side gives a more bold and powerful look. It almost looks like a more Gothic look.
- For the cheeks I used the gold liquid metal to contour the cheeks and blended it using a blusher brush. I used the liquid metal as I found it darker and I wanted the sunken in effect.
- To get the youthful glow I then used golden colored eye shadow to highlight the top of the cheek bones and I really liked the look of this.
- I then cut black lace to the shape matching the one over my eyebrows and stuck it one using duo lash glue.
- I also painted my neck gold and put the same lace round my neck to give the illusion of a high collar and reflect the lace over the eyebrows.
- Seeing the complete look I was much happier with this than my previous design and the way the colors came out.
- Looking at the lace I am thinking of experimenting with different textures and getting one that is thinner than the one I have as this will allow more of the gold color to seep through.
