- This is now my final design that Sophie will be creating on me during our timed assessment.
- This was Sophie's first trial practicing my new design.
- For the base Sophie used the lightest foundation color from the krayolin foundation palette.
- She then set the base with loose powder so that it doesn't move and the eye area does not crease. Sophie applied too much foundation and then later buffed it using a kabuki brush, which later left a drying effect around my nose. For the next practice session I would like her to apply less product and gradually add more wherever its needed.
- For the the flare design over the eyebrows she used the gold from the aqua palette. I was very pleased with the coverage of the color specially in disguising the eyebrow. However, I would like the flare design to come a little upwards towards the center of the forehead.
- Moving on to the eyes she lined my eyes using the gold aqua color and also painted my lashes with the same color as well. I was pleased with the way the lashes looked but wasn't quite sure if I should use black liner on the eyes instead of gold.
- On the lips Sophie used a deep red color from the lip palette and applied gold aqua color on the outer corners of the lips.
- Looking at the lips I think I will go with the look of the black in the outer corners of the lips as I feel this would bring out Lettice's secretive side more.
- She then applied the lace to one side and left the other side without it as she wanted to take a picture the lace and one without.
- I definitively think that the flare design should come more upwards towards the center of the forehead as bit of the lace that falls on the temples of the head is more disguised under the hair line and it doesn't appear just stuck on.
- I also feel that I should find more thinner lace as this would show the gold a little more and I should also try stenciling the lace on keeping in mind our time limit and what works best for Sophie.
- For the cheeks she used the gold liquid metal to contour the cheeks. I wanted this to be a little more heavier and just tiny more downwards into the cheek.
- To highlight the cheek bones we used a golden colored eye shadow. I would like her to use a little more of this as I want the look of a youthful glow.
- The fact that I twitched my design here and there, Sophie did a great job. After she completed this we talked about the certain detailing I mentioned above.
- I also asked her if she found the design too complicated and she that when looking at the design it looks a little complex but it isn't when actually doing it.
- I was pleased to hear this keeping in mind the time limit we have.
