I also like how the a darker shade of gold almost like a bronze is used to contour the cheeks and a gold shimmer used to highlight the cheek bones. This gives the skin warmth and the youthful glow that I am looking to have in my final design. Combining my ideas from all the inspiration I have got I now need to play around with the colors and face charts to design my three looks.
These three images of Pat McGrath's work all have different textures of gold used as well as they all being in different shades. This really shows that gold can be used in different shades to interpret different characters and situations. Like in the image on the far left, it seems like she has used a gold leaf as it has feathery, 3D type of texture. It has a has a stuck on effect like lashes and also has a very futuristic and urban look. The gold has an antique shade to it.
On the other hand the picture in the middle has a of a yellow gold tone. It also has a soother texture and a more of a glow in the the overall look. I like how her eyebrows have been covered with gold and this is where I got the idea for my final design of using gold over the eyebrows.
The image on the far right has a mixture of both the yellow toned gold as seen as the eye liner and over the eyebrows and a more of a rusty gold as seen over the eyelids. The gold used as the liner and over the brows has a metallic finish to it and it also looks like it has a very smooth texture. The whole look has an airbused finish to it.
