Halloween- Practical Pumpkin King

  • After creating the sugar skull design and learning the importance of shading I wanted to have a go at re-creating a pumpkin king. I chose this look in particular as it involved quite a lot of shading.
  • I used white aqua color as the base as I wanted it to give a drying effect.
  • For the eyes and mouth I used black aqua color as well as I did not want it to crease.
  • For the various lines that go across the face and the forehead as these really bring in character to the face paint, I used black a black eye shadow.
  • On the forehead to give the pumpkin kin some frown lines  I started with very little product and then build the color as I went along.
  • I also used eye shadow to create creepy ends of the teeth and also tear like structures.
  • I just created this to see the difference between shading and just drawing on lines and in conclusion it does make a difference.
  • I got my inspiration of creating this look from YouTube, that is in the video below.
