New Elizabethans has been a journey that I have really enjoyed. Throughout this journey I have faced many challenges and learned from them. Looking into Elizabethan history really amazed me as to the deeper I dug, I would always discover something new about the Era. After looking at the historical approach and moving onto the contemporary research, I discovered how they could be linked historically.
Developing my research further, I went onto looking for inspiration for my lady in waiting designs. After carrying out all the research I was really inspired from the fact there was so much information out there in the world and I had no idea that it even existed.
My final design looked a little complicated as I felt like there was too much going on and that it would be too much work to do for the time limit we were given. As my partner and I had fantastic communication between each other, we practiced quite a lot before getting to the final assessment. Due to this I had trial and errors in my design, which I then changed for the benefit of my partner and my design.
Working to my partners design was quite frightening for me, as I wanted my partner to be satisfied and happy with the outcome. I did have a slight panic during the final timed assessment and have also learned a lesson from it. Looking at the overall brief I would say there were a few parts where I fell due to my mistakes, however I picked myself up by learning from them.
