  • This is the design I will be using for my lady in waiting. My partner, Sophie and I met at my flat to practice our designs.
  • This was the first trial of our designs.
  • To create this look, for the base we Sophie used the illamasqua skin base.
  • I told her to buff it out as I didn't want a complete white but a pale look.
  • She then set the base using loose powder.
  • Moving onto the eyes on the left side of the picture, she used purple supra color and on the right side she used the purple shadow from the krayolin eye shadow palette.
  • I wanted her to use both these mediums to see what different effects we would get and obviously what works the best.
  • I found that as I wanted to block my eyebrow the supra color did a better job than the eye shadow. However, I wasn't really pleased with the level of coverage because, as Sophie was putting more product on some of it was coming off. I suppose this was because it is a grease based product.
  • As this was the first trial Sophie also wanted to practice the shape of the design that goes over the eyebrow and onto the forehead. I was happy with the shape over the brow on the left hand side but I wanted the curve to be slightly higher onto the forehead for next time.
  • As for now I did not have the lace on me and this was just our first practice I wanted to see if the colors worked.
  • For the white lashes she used a disposable mascara wand and the white supra color. I was quite pleased with the way the lashes came out.
  • We also used purple eye shadow for contouring the cheeks.
  • I wanted the cheeks to have darker contouring for next time as I wanted to get that sunken in effect.
  • For the lips Sophie used the gold supra color which was difficult to apply as the color wouldn't be that iridescent as I wanted it t be.
  • For the purple in the middle of the lips we also used the purple supra color.
  • For a first practice, I feel that Sophie did a good job practicing applying the base, the shape over the eyes, using different mediums to see what works best and what she is confident in doing.
  • As I have very dark eyebrows, it will be a challenge for Sophie to cover. I need to work with different types of mediums to see what will cove the brow the best ad will be a little less time taking and less challenging for Sophie.
  • Considering this took an hour, I was sure that we wouldn't have enough time for Sophie to draw on the lace pattern.
  • My next step will be getting different types of laces and see which one works best with the look, as I will apply this over the shape on the brows.
  • I wasn't very happy with the colors as I thought they gave the look a very alien like appearance and I did not ant that for the final look.
